Signal generation and evaluation

The photoelectric measuring principles use photocells to generate sinusoidal signals from changes in light intensity. These four signals I0°, I90°, I180°, and I270° are each phase shifted by 90° and are not symmetrical to the zero line. To obtain axis-symmetrical signals, the 180° offset photocells are connected in a push-pull circuit. This produces two 90° phase-shifted, zero-symmetrical output signals I1 and I2.
